    Dear Families,

Happy Spring!  This is the time of the year that we reflect back on the beginning of the year, consider where our students are now, and reflect forward to our goals and actions for next year. As we approach the last month and half of the school year I am always encouraged by students actively engaged in their learning. Walking through the halls and stopping into rooms, there is a positive energy of learning as your children bring our vision statement to life in being confident, creative thinkers who seek and use knowledge in a changing world.  It is an exciting time of year!

We had a great turnout for parent teacher conferences at the end of March.  Latino Family Night in April was a night of conversation and learning for families and staff.  The Kindergarten Showcase last week brought many families together to see how much our kindergartners have grown in their learning this year.  We appreciate the many ways our families participate in the learning of their children.

There are several opportunities for you to continue to be involved in the upcoming weeks.  Our Plant Sale takes place next week Thursday and Friday.  If you pre-ordered plants please come to pick up your order.  If you did not get an order in, there will be plants for sale on those days as well. The final Hmong Folktale performances will be happening at various times throughout the school day on the 23rd and 24th of May.  Come enjoy a fun evening of family time at our annual carnival on Thursday, June 1.

Once again as we celebrate the learning and growth of your child throughout this school year, if you are looking for summer learning opportunities for your child, a great resource to check out is Sprockets (www.sprocketssaintpaul.org).  Entering “summer” into their Program Finder will list several opportunities within your area.  Or check out their event calendar for family events taking place throughout the summer.

Finally, I love hearing from you directly!  If you have any questions, concerns, please let me know! We can all be reached at 651-293-8935.  Remember coffee and tea are always on in the Family Room. Stop by for a visit!

    Respectfully,

    Catherine Rich,

    Principal
