Hello! My name is Paul Richardson and I am excited to join the Battle Creek Middle School community as an assistant principal.
I have worked in Saint Paul Public Schools since 2008. Most recently, I worked as a Secondary Literacy Specialist in the Office of Teaching and Learning. In that role, I guided and facilitated literacy efforts with staff at our 9-12 and 6-12 schools. My roles included leading professional development, facilitating collaborative curriculum writing, and providing instructional and PLC (professional learning community) support. Previously, I was fortunate to work at Humboldt Secondary School, as an English Language Arts, Reading, and AVID teacher. I taught 9th and 10th grade English, Special Education Inclusion 9th and 10th grade English, Advanced Placement Language and Composition, Reading Intervention, and AVID. I also served as Head Girls Soccer and Head Girls Basketball coach.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife and I have three children and we love to play sports, go to the zoo, and find great books at the library.
I am honored to be a part of the Panther Community and look forward to supporting students and staff to do great things at Battle Creek Middle School. Please reach out with any questions or needs.
Mr. Paul Richardson
