Boys and Girls Cross Country
Description of sport: Open to boys and girls in grades 9 - 12, no prior experience necessary.
Cross country running is a lifelong sport that challenges students to run long distances on paved roads, dirt, grass, rocky paths, and other types of terrain. A mental and physical sport, cross country running features races that are 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles in length. While cross country running is a competitive team and individual sport, many athletes use cross country running to stay in shape for their favorite sport. To be successful in cross country running, students must have a positive attitude and be willing to face challenges head on.
