Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Cox began teaching for SPPS in 1985. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College and her Master's in Special Education from the University of Minnesota. She taught for 25 years at Roosevelt Elementary as a Developmental Cognitive Disability teacher. She has been at Como Park Elementary since 2011. She went back to school and received an additional license in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Saint Mary's University.
When Ms. Cox is not at school, she enjoys skiing, boating, fishing and traveling. She loves spending time with family and friends.
Ms. Cox moved to Wisconsin in 1996. She commutes to St. Paul each day. Ms. Cox continues to live in Wisconsin with her husband, while her daughter lives in Seattle, WA.
Ms. Cox loves teaching and making a difference in the lives of her students.
