Upward Bound / TRIO

  • The St. Olaf College Upward Bound (UB) is a federally-funded TRIO program designed to help high school students reach college by providing academic and personal support and guidance. Upward Bound students are from families below 150% of poverty and would be the first generation in their family to attend college. Upward Bound operates year-round and features a six-week, residential summer component. Students participate during all four years of their high school careers.

    9-11th Grade:

    Career Assessments
    Monthly Academic Advising
    Mentoring with College Graduate

    12th Grade:
    Financial Aid Workshops
    College and Scholarship Application Assistance
    College Essay Writing
    Resume Building
    Monthly Academic Advising
    Mentoring with College Graduate
