Microbiology is an advanced course set up for students who want to examine the structure and behavior of the tiny organisms that control our world. In this lab-based course students will isolate and identify soil microbes and the bacteria found on uncooked meat. We extensively test the effectiveness of antibacterial products, culture some very interesting bacteria harvested from around the school, and “grow” yogurt. All students with a strong interest in science are encouraged to join in on the fun.
