"My role as a Special Education teacher is to ensure that students with IEPs receive the services and support needed to be successful in school. This may include individual or small group help during class, helping students self-advocate with other teachers, making adjustments to assignments to make them more accessible, and other individualized supports as needed." - Ms. Ayala
All high school students can also attend Math Help Hour on Wednesdays from 3-4pm in room 5107.
Ms. Ayala has been with St. Paul Public Schools since 2008 and CASS since 2018. She worked as a Special Ed teaching assistant at Humboldt, Arlington, and Johnson, and then completed the St Paul Urban Teacher Residency (SUTR) to earn her Special Ed teaching license. She lives in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood with her husband, preschool-aged son, stepdaughters (grades 3, 9, and 10), and mother-in-law. Outside of school, she enjoys running, biking, reading, and exploring the cities, especially with her kids. Ms. Ayala also teaches Norwegian part-time at Mindekirken in Minneapolis.
