iPad information for OWL Families
All families need to complete the online orientation/loan agreement. If paperwork has not been completed at school please complete the online forms. Families and school work together to get each student's Apple ID created, 6th graders and new 7th graders who are 12 and younger must have a parent/guardian email. Students 13 and over will make their own account at school.
If a student had an ipad last year, they will need their apple id from last year. Please help your student find or remember their apple id from last year. Some students saved it to their google drive account.
All students will be using their @stpaul.k12.mn.us active directory account. No gmail can be used to set up their ipad.
Only students with signed permission slips will be able to take the ipads home with them.
Friday October 2nd: 11th and 12th graders will be setting up their ipads.
Monday, October 5th: Students who did not create an Apple id last year will be creating their apple id. Students will also be accessing their @stpaul.k12.mn.us account.
Tuesday, October 6th: 7& 8th graders will check their active directory accounts and verify their apple id from the previous school year.
Wednesday, October 7th: 9th and 10th graders will check their active directory accounts and verify their apple id from the previous school year.
Thursday October 8th: Ipad set up day. All students will set up their ipads during an extended crew time. Students who have their permission forms completed and signed will be taking their ipads home.
Apple IDs enable students to get the most out of their iPads. By law for students 12 and younger, a parent/guardian must create the account. Students 13 and older can make their own. If a student was at OWL in the past, they will continue to use their same Apple ID. Contact us with questions. Rhonda.Mechels@spps.org
Typically Owl students have created an Apple ID using Owstudent# (upper case O lower case w and student number), this is only a suggestion.
