Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to my classroom website!
I have been teaching for nine years in St. Paul Public Schools. For eight of those year I have been lucky to be at Chelsea Heights Elementary. I have a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota Duluth, along with a MA in Education with an emphasis on Reading Curriculum and Instruction from Concoridia University. I have taught in grades K, 4 and 5.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family. My husband and I have a son, Tommy, and chocolate lab, Kirby Puckett. My family and I spend as much time as possible up north at our family cabins. I like to play lots of dfferent sports like softball, volleyball, golf, tennis, bowling, and I love Crossfit.
I love being apart of the Chelsea Heights community. We have the greatest PTO and the entire staff is top notch. Staff and families create a positive environment that promotes the success of all students. Our Kindergarten team focuses on learning through play and theme based units. My favorite thing about teaching Kindergarten is how each student comes in with a bright smile and is excited to learn. It keeps me smiling each day.
