Everyone is an Artist
Visual arts are integrated throughout the day in our classrooms. Students use a variety of materials to create artwork enriching their core curriculum subjects and adding personal expression to learning.
Third grade students integrate visual arts, creating multi-media self portraits accompanied by autobiographical writing.
A first/second grade classroom integrates visual arts, creating pastels of the night sky based on the book Max and the Tag-Along Moon by Floyd Cooper. They read this book together, learning new vocabulary, practicing inferring and predicting, and looking at setting, character, and plot.
