National African American Parent Involvement Day
On Feb. 9, SPMA celebrated NAAPID with a superb performance assembly. The choir sang Cameroon, the 4th graders sang Hush, Devon did a solo of Lift Every Voice, percussionists from Salsa Havana played Afro-Cuban beats, tap dancers tapped, and a trio of 3rd graders hula-hooped. Parents and families were then invited to join their children in the classrooms plus share lunch with them. Many parents came to the school to enjoy the festivities and to support the students. Below are photos and videos for you to enjoy.
