Dress Code Policy
In an effort to clarify the dress code for Battle Creek Middle School students, the following visuals and descriptions are being provided. Our goal is to maintain a learning environment free of disruptions or detrimental to the purpose or conduct of the school.
We request that parent’s partner with BCMS staff by reviewing and reinforcing these guidelines with your student.
-When entering the building, please remove hats and hoods.
-Shoes are required. No slippers/house shoes.
-Undergarments must be covered at all times, this includes but is not limited to:
-men’s tank undershirts
-Top shirt must cover mid-section, crop tops are allowed with a tank top layered underneath. Mid-section skin must be covered.
-Leggings are appropriate as long as they are not see-through.
-Shorts, dresses, and skirts are to be at the end of a students’ finger tips (unless leggings are worn underneath).
-Traditional bandana prints are not allowed to be worn.
-Clothing advertising alcoholic beverages, or smoking, weapons, or those with obscene, gang-related or questionable printing on them will not be permitted.
-Sagging pants, pajamas, exposed underclothing, slippers, and clothes that expose too much skin are not allowed.
