    In this course, students will be involved in one of the following: competitive employment, job shadowing, community service, apprenticeships, or internships. They will locate, apply, and interview to secure a career internship.

    Course Description:
    This course is designed for students who want to pursue business careers. The two components of the program are Business Seminar and Business Internship in the area of the student’s career choice. The Business Seminar and Business Internship courses will provide opportunities through workplace learning activities including: long-term internships, mentorship, and volunteering. Curriculum is designed so students attain the learner outcomes necessary for success in the world of work through either group paced or individualized approaches. Students will learn habits and behaviors related to job search and work, including communication strategies. Students will investigate and evaluate careers in relation to life goals, personal attributes, and daily living skills. Students will apply informed decision-making skills and learn the necessary skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
