Ms. Dawn French
Dawn French has over 18 years of experience working in school, academic and public libraries. This is Dawn's first year with St Paul Public Schools. She has also worked in the Osseo, Hopkins and Prior Lake and Rochester, NY school districts. Other library experiences included being a student aid in the academic libraries of SUNY Buffalo and MSU-Moorhead, being a children's librarian for the Dayton (OH) Metro Libraries and providing library reference services for the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Dawn believes that all students deserve to have access to a library to support their growth as a reader and life long learner and that school librarians play a key role in promoting reading, effectively integrating technology into classrooms and creating a well-rounded educational environment. In 2014 she was named a TIES Exceptional Teacher, and she is the current co-president of ITEM (Information and Technology Educators of Minnesota).
