• gears A healthy school climate relies on a successful partnership between teachers, students, parents and the community. SPPS has continued to strengthen those partnerships while forging new ones.

The district is creating a community-wide school climate task force with that includes parents, teachers and community leaders. The task force will share their own experiences, examine school climate issues, analyze discipline data, and ultimately provide recommendations to the Board of Education and Superintendent Valeria Silva. If the recommendations are accepted, the task force will monitor progress, and if needed, request adjustments to better meet its school climate goals.

Task force meeting notes will be posted on this website as available.
