About Mme Faltesek
Bonjour! My name is Madame Anita Faltesek and I will be your child’s Pre-K teacher this year. I am honored to be the one who will guide your child as they start their educational journey and discover the joys of learning and language in our classroom. I am excited to see them develop and grow over the course of the year.
This will be my FIRST year teaching Pre-K and my eigth year teaching at LNFI. I previously taught for seven years in Kindergarten at our school, so I am excited for my new adventure with this fun age group! I cannot wait!
I am a Minnesotan girl who grew up in Little Canada, and now I live close by in North St. Paul. I have attended many local private colleges to further my education including the University of St. Thomas, Concordia University St. Paul, and Bethel University.
During my undergrad, I lived and studied in Nantes, France. I stayed with a host family with 5 children, took courses in French, and completed a teaching internship. My internship was at a French private school where I taught English to several Kindergarten and 2nd grade classes. It was a great learning experience.
More recently, I have been focusing my graduate studies on educational technology. I love using technology in my classroom and so do my students! I have learned a lot through my graduate programs at Concordia and Bethel and have integrated many of the things that I learned into my curriculum and instruction.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy knitting (hats and scarves are my specialty), watching movies, playing cribbage, and curling with my family. I have 3 older brothers: Luke, Pete, and Jake. I live with my husband Tom and our two big dogs: Henry (a Newfoundland/Lab mix) and Bella (an American Bulldog).
Tom and I welcomed our first child (Ellie) in February 2017. While last year she was a quiet and sweet baby that simply laid and slept in my arms, she is now a rambunctious toddler with a knack for learning. This year, I will be spending my mornings with her and then coming to LNFi in the afternoons to teach the PM section of Pre-K. Being her mom is the best and I hope that she some day comes to school at LNFI!
