Ms. Meg King-Abraham

I am excited to be at Capitol Hill as the Technology Integration Specialist and teacher of Computer Science Discoveries (6-8th) and Grade 4 Digital Creations. This will be my 30th year of teaching in Saint Paul. I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

I am married and have two adult daughters, Kellen and Devin. My husband Dennis and I are the owners of Once Upon A Crime Bookstore in Minneapolis (where we live). I spend my free time walking my dog around lakes, travelling, reading, and curling. Winter is my favorite season as I enjoy any activity on snow or ice.

Computer Science Discoveries

  • The course takes a wide lens on computer science by covering topics such as programming, physical computing, HTML/CSS, and data.

Assessments and Grading

  • Ongoing (formative) assessment will include notebook entries and progress checks. More formal summative assessments will be projects created by the students. These projects are the core of the work students will be doing in class. Students will create their own website, game, app, etc. Rubrics will be provided at the beginning of each unit to guide the work.
