Middle School Foundations

  • Foundations, a middle school advisory course, is designed to support students through their transitions from elementary to middle to high school. Foundations is aligned with the Strong Schools, Strong Communities 2.0 district strategic plan, with a focus on college and career readiness. Through culturally responsive instruction, students will have an opportunity to learn about and discuss:

    • Social and emotional learning, including self-confidence, relationships, bullying
    • Online safety, which meets the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
    • Academic skills for success, including note-taking, time management, and organization
    • College and career readiness
