Friends of Groveland (FOG) Fundraising
FRIENDS OF GROVELAND (FOG)
WHAT IS FRIENDS OF GROVELAND?
Friends of Groveland is a tax exempt non-profit organization run by parent volunteers that raises money to enrich the learning environment of all students at Groveland Park Elementary. Friends of Groveland works closely with the teachers and the PTO to make important decisions about what to fund. Friends of Groveland raises approximately $50,000/year to accomplish its mission.
HOW IS MONEY RAISED?
Money is raised in a variety of ways, including a direct drive solicitation, the Celebrate Groveland party, the APEX Fun Run, Scholastic Book Fairs, Box Tops for Education, Spirit Wear Sales, grant writing, and family dining events such as Davanni’s Pizza night.
WHY SHOULD I GET INVOLVED?
If you are interested in enhancing the educational opportunities for all children at Groveland we need your help! Belonging to Friends of Groveland is a great way to get to know other Groveland families and make a positive impact on the school.
IS IT A BIG TIME COMMITMENT?
Friends meets 3-4 times a school year. Depending on which fundraising events you work on, certain times of the year will be busier than others (e.g. if you work on Celebrate Groveland, you have more work in the fall than in the winter).
