    2021 Girls Lacrosse Season Overview

    The St. Paul Bobcats High School Girls Lacrosse Program is open to all St. Paul Public School students in grades 7 - 12. Players are expected to work hard, be resilient, and build up one another. Prior lacrosse experience is not required. The program sponsors teams at the Varsity and JV levels. Each competes in the Minnesota State High School League Spring Season which runs from early April to late May with playoffs running in early June.

    Regular Season: Monday, April 7 - May 27, 2021

    Post-Season:

    Varsity: June 1 - 19, 2021

    JV: June 1 - 5, 2021
    Tryouts: April 7 - 10. *Tryouts are to help with team placement. No cuts are made. Home Field: Central High School, Griffin Stadium.
    Practice Field / Schedule:
    Weeknights -
    Central High School, Griffin Stadium 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
    Saturdays - Jimmy Lee Recreation Center 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
    Equipment / Gear: All players receive team warm-ups that they keep. Game uniforms are provided by SPPS. Players are encouraged to bring their own stick and protective equipment (mouth guard, cleats, goggles), however, equipment can be provided, by request, for those who need it.
    Game Schedule: *Schedule subject to change. Please refer to online schedules for updates. .vs = Home game, @ = Away game
    Participation Fees (2):

    1. $150 SPPS Participation Fee - $45 for athletes who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Checks should be made payable to Central HS Athletics and be turned in directly to Central HS when uniforms are distributed. DO NOT turn your checks into a non-Central athletic office.

    2. There is a booster club fee of $200 that pays for assistant coaches, team warm-ups, banquet costs, and other team opportunities. Details will be emailed separately.

    REGISTER BEFORE MARCH 29th!

    St. Paul Bobcats girl's lacrosse team (coop with all St. Paul Schools) will be having a sign up meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 25th at Central H.S. cafeteria at 5:30 pm. 

    Please help us get the word out!  Encourage interested players to go to this meeting to get registration information and meet with Coach Courtney Boneillo.
     
    Specifics for your information:
    1. The cost is $150 ($45 for free/reduced).  Checks need to be made out to Central H.S. Please put player's name in memo line.  Players should turn in money directly to Central H.S.
    2. Equipment Needed:  stick, goggles, mouth guard, cleats, gloves.  If players need equipment, Central has equipment that they can use for the season and return.
    3. Season officially starts on Monday, April 1st.  All forms & fees need to be turned in before athletes will be allowed to practice.  In order for athletes to practice on April 1st all forms & fees need to turned in by Fri. March 29th. 
    4. Practice April 2-6 will be at Central H.S. gym from 5-7pm. 
    5. Practices once weather allows will be outside at Central H.S. Griffin Stadium or McMurray Fields from 5-7pm.
    6. Game schedule is set.  Home games will be played at Central H.S. Griffin Stadium.
