Elementary (K-4) Summer Learning Programs Overview

    Students in grades K-4 will receive academic support in reading, writing and math – all in a classroom environment that is different from the regular school year. Students will also receive the support they may need to succeed during the next school year. Summer session teachers have the flexibility to adapt to many learning styles and focus on subjects in depth.


     

  • Summer Session SUMMER SESSION

    Grades K-8. A four-week summer session that provides students the opportunity to discover talents and interests, make new friends, and prevent summer learning loss.

  • CDF Freedom Schools

    CDF FREEDOM SCHOOLS

    Grades K-8. A six-week program that strengthens literacy and math skills. Field trips, the arts and books celebrate the culture of the students, building leadership, pride and persistence.

  • power scholars POWER SCHOLARS ACADEMY

    Grades K-4. A six-week program that is designed to help students gain new academic skills and prepare to return to school in the fall ready to excel.


  • Other Summer Learning Progarms
    OTHER SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAMS

    Grades K-11. Students can participate in sports, arts, environmental and cultural programs with other students from across the metro area.


  • Transportation
    TRANSPORTATION

    Transportation is available to most students attending a Summer Learning Program based on the Area of the student’s home or alternate address.

  • Registration begins March 16 for 2020 Summer Learning Programs.

    • Current SPPS families register online OR by completing and mailing paper registration form in.
    • Non-current SPPS families register by completing and mailing paper registration form in.
