Video: SPPS Students and Staff Celebrate National Walk/Bike to School Day
More than 3,000 SPPS students and staff participated in National Walk/Bike to School Day on May 10, 2017. Whether on two wheels or two feet, participants found fun, environmentally-friendly and healthy ways to get to school. National Bike to School Day provides an opportunity for communities across the country to join and celebrate safe, active transportation and, where needed, to bring attention to necessary changes so more people can safely bicycle and walk to more places.
SPPS schools participating in the event included: Battle Creek Elementary, Bruce Vento Elementary, Expo Elementary, Hazel Park Preparatory Academy, Highland Park Elementary, Highwood Hills Elementary, Open World Learning Community, Randolph Heights Elementary, St. Anthony Park Elementary and Washington Technology Magnet.
