Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Welcome to our class!
  • Hello Fantastic Families,

My name is Zoua Vue and I'm excited for this school year to start! This year, Ms. Her will be joining my class. She is a resident teacher working to get her teaching license. I've been teaching since 2008. I’ve taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education at York College in York, NE, and my Masters in Differentiated Instruction at Concordia University. When I am not teaching, I love to travel. I have been to Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket, and the Phi Phi Islands); Fiji (Suva), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, and Tasmania), and 10+ states. Besides traveling, I love arts and crafts. and spending time with my chihuahua, Chico. I am also in the process of adopting a child (or maybe even children) but I really have no idea when I will get my child because adoption can take a long time.

I am excited to start this school year distance learning with you and your child! I understand that distance learning may be challenging but I am here to help in any way I can. Ms. Her and I will be having Morning Meetings live on Google Meet Monday - Friday from 11:00 - 11:20 and Math from 1:30 - 2:00. On certain days, I will be video chatting with individual students to confer (work) with them on their writing assignments in Google Meet. Additionally, Ms. Her and I will be on Google Meet daily from 3:30 - 4:00 for questions and to help out with assignments. Let’s work together to make this the best year for your child!

    Stay safe!

    Ms. Vue * (zoua.vue@spps.org)

    Dear Families,

My name is Xee Her. I am a Resident Teacher who will be co-teaching with Ms. Vue this fall. I graduated from St. Catherine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics. I am currently working on my Masters of Arts in Elementary Education at the University of St. Thomas. I want to become a teacher because I want to change children’s lives just like how my teachers changed my life. I believe that education is the key to success because it is the key to open the door for a new chapter in life. In the 2020-2021 school year, I am looking forward to meeting all my intelligent 3rd graders, interacting with them, passing on my knowledge to them, helping them to learn what they need to know according to the State of Minnesota Standards, and getting to know them academically and personally. I am also looking forward to learning about my students’ cultures and languages because every ethnicity has its own beauty.

Besides working and schooling, I enjoy cooking, baking cakes, making sweet desserts, planting my own fruits and vegetables in my backyard, hiking, climbing mountains, and spending time with my siblings.

    Xee Her (xee.her@spps.org)

Fun Fact – I am very scared of the dentists!
