    Culture and Climate/PBIS Goal

To reduce the number of students, particularly students of color, who are referred out of the classroom for behavior.

How will we meet our goal?

Through the implementation of culturally relevant pedagogy with an emphasis on Social Justice Activism.  Our actions will include:

    • Staff professional development on culturally relevant pedagogy.
    • Staff professional development where beliefs and assumptions will be examined and challenged.
    • Teachers will use technology to personalize learning
    • Teachers will select Social Justice materials where all students see themselves positively represented and that are historically accurate and respectful.

We will also meet our goal through the use of data to determine appropriate positive behavior interventions.  Our actions will include:

    • The PBIS team creating and implementing a plan to ensure the fidelity of the PBIS Tiers.
    • Green Team and SPED collaborating to implement Behavior Intervention Plans
