In 2017, I started as the agricultural education teacher at Como Park Senior High School.  I started working for Saint Paul Schools in 2009. Before working for Saint Paul, I worked as a naturalist at the Minnesota Zoo. I grew up on a dairy and hog farm, which is where my love for animals and nature was formed.

I attended the University of Wisconsin River Falls where I earned my B.S. in Broad Area Agriculture and a minor in Animal Science. I recieved my M.A.T. in Agricultural Education in 2002. In December 2016, I graduated with my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

My favorite place to go is the beach (in a warm climate) In 2006, I went to Trinidad to work with leatherbacks,  the largest of the sea turtle species.
