Interpreting the Gordon Parks legacy through curriculum has had results you won’t see at other schools. Multi-year civic engaged storytelling projects have resulted in filmmaking projects like Transitions: University Avenue, successful championing of a 5-acre park behind our school and alumni who become community leaders walking in the footsteps of Gordon Parks. The best is yet to come.  

Transitions: University Avenue
A multi-year long collaboration with the Minnesota Historical Society documenting the before, during and after stages of the Central Corridor Light Rail Transit project.

Gordon Parks High School collaborated with Film North (formerly IFP) to tell stories of immigration.
