    Spring is the perfect season for dreaming about what we want our schools and our district to become. As the snow melts, the sun uncovers dormant grass, flowers and shrubs. It energizes “the trees that have it in their pent-up buds to. . . be summer woods” (another line from Frost).

    Strategic planning allows us to uncover our deepest beliefs and to talk, honestly and hopefully, about our vision for a better education for every student in SPPS.

    Yes, this is a busy time and months of the educational year remain. May next week’s break give you a welcome rest and recharge your batteries for the final nine weeks of school. Stay in the present, but never stop dreaming about the future we are creating together.  Read more...
