STRONG SCHOOLS, STRONG COMMUNITIES
Monitoring and Reporting System: VisionCards
For the first phase of our strategic plan, VisionCards were created to measure our progress in key areas.
What's a VisionCard?
VisionCards provide a summary of districtwide indicators of progress on the Strong Schools, Strong Communities (SSSC) strategic plan. They are a key part of an accountability system that keeps us consistently focused on student results and what we will do to improve achievement and equity.
What's in a VisionCard?
The eight VisionCards are aligned to the SSSC goals: Achievement, Alignment and Sustainability. Achievement and Equity cards show where we are making progress for our students - and where we are not. The other six cards confront the business and operational processes that influence those student outcomes, to direct our resources and actions toward improvement.
Results are scaled on 5 levels:
GOAL 1 - ACHIEVEMENT
How are our students performing overall?
How does race impact student results?
Student Data and Work
How are staff using student results to
GOAL 2 - ALIGNMENT
How are school & district administrators
supporting instruction and equity?
How are we aligning community resources
to support our students?
How are we developing the capacity of our
staff to improve student results?
GOAL 3 - SUSTAINABILITY
How are we maximizing our capacity to
How are we managing our resources for
the greatest benefit to students?
