Our Students

  • Students in all grades:

    • feel welcome, have a sense of belonging, and are able to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings – inclusive of race and gender identity
    • see themselves reflected in the curriculum, including underserved and underrepresented racial and cultural groups
    • are held to high expectations, with access to rigorous and creative learning experiences
    • spend classroom time learning new information, problem-solving, sharing, and practicing and expanding on something they have learned
    • read, write and talk about subjects and concepts
    • actively engage in communicating their current understanding to others and documenting what they are doing, observing, thinking and  learning
    • use appropriate technology tools throughout the day and across subject areas to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress
    • develop the skills to become lifelong learners
