Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Kay Urich – I am an enrolled member of the Lake Superior Band of Chippewa – Red Cliff, Wisconsin. I am a Licensed Alcohol/Drug Counselor and Teacher for the Indian Education Program at St. Paul Public Schools. I teach chemical health prevention and traditional cultural beliefs in the classrooms, grades K-12. I provide counseling services to our students and families, both individually and in group settings. I can assist students who are struggling with chemical use by helping them find the support they need or refer them to treatment services. I can do follow-up home visits, attend court hearings with families, serve as a Liaison with probation services and/or other agencies/programs our families may be involved with. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or inquiries you may have regarding your child. We are here to provide support and information to our students and their families. St. Paul Public School district has 104 schools and sometimes dealing with them can encompass a vast bureaucratic system. If I can’t help you, I will find someone who can. I can be reached at 651-744-5528 or email me.
