Andrew Blair

Hello, and welcome to my teacher page! My name is Andrew Blair, and I'm originally from Madison, WI, but now live here in Saint Paul. I'm happy to be a part of the ELL Department here at Como Park Senior High School.

I graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI with a Bachelor's degree in Russian Studies. I also have a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am dual-licensed in Social Studies and English as a Second Language (ESL), and currently teach a variety of courses here at Como. I co-teach U.S. Government, Economics, and English Language Arts. I also teach an English Language Development class.

In my free time, I love to spend as much time outside as possible - running, hiking, or exploring the Twin Cities by bicycle. I also enjoy cooking, reading, playing the guitar, listening to music, and gardening. One of my favorite things to do is to travel to new places.

I'm lucky to have had many different kinds of jobs: I've worked as an after-school tutor, had all sorts of different restaurant jobs, taught cooking classes, farmed, and have worked with students growing food in school gardens. I feel even luckier to be a teacher here at Como!
