SPPS Active Enrollment for Plan Year 2023

  • Active Enrollment Dates:

    Active Enrollment dates for benefits beginning January 1, 2023, will be held in two separate timeframes depending on your union group.

    October 17 to October 28, 2022 – Active Enrollment with HealthPartners for members of: 

    AFSCME (Clerical & Technical), Association of Supervisory and Administrative Personnel (ASAP), Bus Drivers, Classified Confidential, Custodian, Machinists, Manual Maintenance Supervisors (MMSA), Nutrition Services, Professional Employee Association (PEA), Principals, Superintendency, Supervisors (SPSO), and Teaching Assistants

    November 7 to November 18, 2021 – Active Enrollment with PEIP for members of: 

    Educational Assistants, JROTC, School and Community Service Professionals (SCSP), Teachers, and SUTR residents.

    Here is a preview of some of the highlights happening for 2023:
    • Employees in the current HealthPartners group, along with those in the Teaching Assistants (Teamsters) Union will be switching to Medica, effective January 1, 2023. Make sure to review the mailings and emails coming to you for information on the changes! 
    • Those employees in SPFE under the PEIP plans, regardless of carrier, will continue to be offered the current plan options for the 2023 benefit year. Be sure to review the Primary Care Clinic list on the Innvo website in October to ensure your clinic is still in network, and in the cost level you want.
    • All benefit-eligible employees must enroll or waive their benefits this year! Elections do not carry over into 2023!
