Become a Mentor

  • Research has shown that the support of a caring adult in the life of a student positively impacts his/her success. Mentors will be paired together and meet with a group of students once per month for 45-60 minutes. Mentors will have the opportunity to work with the same groups of students for three years. During each session mentors lead discussions and activities centered on college and career readiness. A College and Career Counselor will support the mentor at each session. Resources and ideas for each meeting are available, as well as mentor training. Mentors are encouraged to bring their own personal and professional experiences and strengths to the group.
