Music Lives On at SPPS!

  • Saint Paul Public Schools Music Educators are embracing this year's distance learning environment with true passion, finding unique and engaging ways to connect with students! Our Music Steering Committees have been very forward thinking over the past 2 years as we have been exploring new music curriculum resources that align with the SPPS vision and the new Minnesota Standards in Music Education, blending both digital and traditional forms of teaching Music.

As we move into Spring Registration for 2020-21 classes, resources have been created to assist students in their selection and enrollment into the music class of their choice. Students currently in grades 5-11 should enroll in music classes with the guidance counselor of the school they will be attending in the Fall. Students are also encouraged to complete this SPPS Student: Music Enrollment Interest Survey 2020. Information will be shared with music teachers at the school you indicate you will be attending so they can connect and answer any questions you might have or asssit you in auditioning for leveled performance classes.
