Graduation Ceremony informationLocation: Roy Wilkins AuditoriumWhen: Tuesday, June 8th, 2021Time: 6 PM; Doors open at 5 PMGraduates Arrival: Please arrive by 5:15 PM, enter through the doors off of 5th Street.Parking: Complimentary parking at either the Traveler's parking lot off of 5th Street or the Science Museum parking ramp off of Kellogg Blvd. See the parking map here. (No parking voucher needed for Traveler's lot; A parking voucher will be provided for the Science Museum parking ramp.)The graduation ceremony will also be available via Livestream for those at home to view. July 29: 9am and 4pmEach graduate will receive six tickets. Tickets are General Admissions. ADA tickets are available upon request. Last call for yard signs! If you were unable to pick up a yard sign during distribution in early May and still wants one, please email either Ms. Otto or Mr. Yang to make arrangements for one ASAP.
Cap and Gown Pickup and iPad Return:Seniors will be picking up their cap and gown on Thursday, 6/3 or Friday, 6/4 from 9 AM - 1 PM, using Door #2, in the CEC (formally known as the MRC). Tickets to the venue will also be handed out at this time, along with any applicable cords or school stoles (not to be confused with cultural adornments/ stoles, those are the responsibility of the student and family.)Seniors are also expected to return their iPad, charging block, and cord when they pick up their cap and gown, if they are done with their classwork. If they still have classwork to submit, they must turn it in on Tuesday, 6/8 at rehearsal.If you have library books at home, please bring them with to return. If you have any other items that belong to Washington (sports equipment, uniforms, classroom item, etc.), please bring them with to drop off too.
Mandatory Rehearsal and Senior Celebration
When: Tuesday, June 8th, @ 9 AM
Where: Great Hall @ Washington
Students must take the bus or get dropped off by 8:45 AM, and report directly to the Great Hall. Rehearsal should only last about one and a half hours. If you miss the rehearsal, you will NOT walk at graduation. This is not a dressed rehearsal, so please dress comfortably, and do NOT bring your cap and gown. Parking: Please park down by the Arlington Fields, that is where you will be leaving from at the end of the day.
There will be a senior celebration immediately following the graduation rehearsal at the Rice & Arlington Fields (@ Rice St. and Nebreska). All seniors are encouraged to attend, but not required to. Pizzas, chips, and drinks will be served. Seniors will have the opportunity to hang out, sign yearbooks, and there will be supervised activities for them to participate in. Students will either take the bus home, or can leave when they want to, if they drive or are getting picked up.
