2021 CHOICES Coverage & Plan Designs
2021 Medical insurance coverage is available to benefit-eligible employees working at least 20 hours per week. CHOICES is the set of health insurance coverage plans offered through HealthPartners for the following Bargaining Units:
AFSCME, Association of Supervisory and Supervisory Personnel (ASAP), Bus Drivers, Classified Confidential, Custodians, Machinists, Manual Maintenance, Nutrition Services, PEA, Principals, Superintendency, Supervisors (SPSO) and Tri-Council
The current medical insurance carrier for the above unions is HealthPartners. Benefit eligible employees can enroll into coverages within 30 days of their hire date, during Active Enrollment or within 30 days of a qualifying status change. The HSA Plan combines HealthPartners medical coverage with an optional self-funded, pre-tax savings/investment account through Optum Bank you can use to pay for your qualifying out-of-pocket health care expenses.
