Health Start Clinics Are Open
Most SPPS high school Health Start Clinics are open and available for scheduling appointments. Most Health Start Clinics serve students ages 12-18, and services include urgent in-person mental health care, medication management for depression and anxiety, sexual health concerns, check-ups and vaccines, non-respiratory illness, injuries and asthma follow-up. They can also do sports physicals. All Health Start Clinics will be open Monday-Thursday from 8AM-4PM. Clinics will be closed on Fridays since most students are not in the building on that day.
Please note, these clinics serve only students from the school they are located in. The Gordon Parks site, however, will see students from ages 12-21, regardless of the SPPS school they attend.
If you have respiratory symptoms, a fever or known exposure to coronavirus, we will refer you to affordable testing and care but will not see you in person. Telehealth services are available.
Please call 651-233-8951 to make an appointment. Walk-in appointments are welcome.

There will be a slight decrease in the types of medical care available at Humboldt. Health Start plans to move to vaccine catch up appointments every other week vs every week, and no blood draw services are going to be available. Pregnancy testing and STI testing will be provided, as well as in-person and telehealth medical visits. If blood testing is needed, Health Start can help make an appointment at Gordon Parks or at their main clinic.

We cannot test for the flu or COVID-19 at school sites.
