    Lower Campus:

    • At Farnsworth, aerospace is integrated in every aspect of our curriculum.
    • Students work in teams to solve complex problems, and each success builds confidence for the next challenge. 
    • Other classes and activities include science, technology, engineering, aerospace and mathematics (STEAM), on-site flight simulators and hands-on experiences.
    • Families are encouraged to attend and explore family nights and events.
    • Students have the opportunity to register for an additional after-school program one day a week through our partnership with First Covenant Church.

    Upper Campus:

    • At Farnsworth, we integrate STEAM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Aerospace-Math) into all of our core subject areas, as well as music and art. 
    • Former students have become scientists, engineers, machinists, pilots, teachers, and other professionals in the STEAM fields.
    • We bring in special guest speakers each year. Many are astronauts, scientists and people in other exciting fields who share their passion for their jobs and ignite dreams and hopes in the minds of our future leaders.
    • Restorative Practice philosophy is infused into our classrooms through community building, social justice content and culturally relevant instruction. We teach and encourage all of our students to be respectful, responsible and on-time.
    • We teach our students how to fly. We have a new state-of-the-art virtual reality (VR) simulator lab. Career exploration classes like coding in multiple languages, robotics building in multiple platforms, and computer automated design in all grades.
    • We take students to many amazing places like Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., and the Museum of Flight and Boeing Factory in Seattle Washington.
    • We offer synchronized enrichment and academic focused classes working in partnership with Johnson High School, First Covenant Church and other community agencies.
    • Leadership opportunities include: Student Council, Parent Advisory Council and Family Engagement Nights.
