Alicia Garcia

Alicia began her school social work journey with St. Paul Public Schools with the Indian Education Program in 2001. Her path continued on to include working at the American Indian Magnet school (2011-2014) and at the Minneapolis Public School's Indian Education program (2014-2021). Her journey has made it's way back to SPPS's Indian Ed in the fall of 2021! Alicia holds a master degree in social work and is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW).

When Alicia isn't working, you can often find her getting her fitness on! She enjoys running, biking, hiking and swimming. She is also an avid book reader and belongs to 3 book clubs!

Alicia's family is originally from Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, however, Alicia has called the great city of St. Paul home for the past thirty years. Both of her children attended St. Paul Schools and will soon have a grandchild in school as well!

Alicia is honored to be part of the St. Paul's Indian Education program and is here as a support and advocate for students and families! Until we meet, remember, Life is Good :)
