Uriah Ward joined the Board in 2022.  He and his wife, Ashley, and their dog, Hamilton, live on the East Side of Saint Paul. 

    Director Ward has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Education from East Carolina University, and is currently the Executive Director of the Southeast Community Organization in Saint Paul.   He is a former middle school social studies teacher, social studies department chair and chess team coach, and was also an organizer on the Vote Yes for Saint Paul Kids campaign in 2018. 

    As a school board member, Director Ward aims to ensure students receive the individual attention they need to be successful, advocate for the staff who support our students, cultivate schools that are welcoming and affirming of all our students, and promote sustainability in our district. 

    In his free time, Director Ward enjoys ​spending time with family, traveling, community organizing, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.
