Saint Paul Public Schools' investments in safely operating our schools are vital to ensuring the health and wellness of students and staff now and into the future. These strategies include improving ventilation systems, hiring additional staff for building cleaning and maintenance, more school nurses and security staff, incentives for bus drivers, and supplies including masks, personal protective equipment and food service equipment.

Indoor Air Quality Filtration and Staff
The summary below combines the following ARP strategies:
- Indoor Air Quality Improvements (Filtration): Funding for MERV-11 or higher air filters in all occupied spaces in accordance with federal and state guidelines to support safer learning environments.
- Custodial Staff: Additional staff to maintain daily cleaning, disinfection and building operation protocols that meet CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines, and to repair systems as needed.
- Facilities Staff: Additional staff to maintain and enhance systems that support healthy learning environments, such as ventilation and handwashing facilities.
