• New Course Proposal Information

  • Deadlines for the 2024-2025 School Year:  

    • Friday, December 1, 2023 - Deadline for teachers to submit any new courses for approval for 24-25 SY.   Submissions after this date may not be considered for the 24-25 SY.

    • Friday, December 8, 2023 - Deadline for District Departments to approve new courses and changes to existing courses. All changes and additions must be communicated to the Campus Team.

    • Wednesday, December 20, 2023 - Updated Course Catalog will be available for schools and staff.

Follow the process below for proposing a new course:

  • 1. Please review the example syllabus to familiarize yourself with the required information found on the form.

  • 2. Connect and share your idea with SPPS colleagues:

  • 3. Submit a proposed district-level syllabus for the new course. You will receive an email confirmation, and your submission will be routed to the appropriate District representative and Principal for review.

  • 4. Review the three possible choices that District Content Leads have when looking at a new course:

  • Form Before you begin working on the form

    • Review the example syllabus  
    • You must be signed in to your SPPS Apps account. This link will not work for you if you are not logged in to your account. Your SPPS Apps account uses this email address: first.last@stpaul.k12.mn.us (no password for SPPS Apps) and you sign on with your Active Directory username and password.

    • Once you start a form, you must complete the form. You cannot save a form to come back and finish it later.
