Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is committed to supporting new educators. The SPPS Recruitment and Retention Team mission and vision is to recruit and retain educators who represent our racially diverse student population by creating and implementing districtwide systems that welcome and support new educators.
SPPS offers New Educator Week in August and New Educator Days throughout the year to welcome staff. Additionally, new educators are matched with a mentor and recieve ongoing professional learning and support from.
