Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Elizabeth (Beth) Brzinski
I grew up in Maplewood, and earned my undergraduate degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!). I earned my master's degree from Saint Mary's University in Winona, MN. Prior to coming to Capitol Hill in 2008, I taught 15 years at Cherokee Heights Elementary on the West Side. I come from a family of educators, many of which taught in St. Paul. My aunt was once a member of the Capitol Hill community when she was principal many years ago. My husband's name is Darren, and I have two adult step-children and two grandsons (ages 8 and 4 months). We also have FOUR fur babies living at home; our cats; Elvis, Milo, Millie, and Peanut. I love spending time with our grandsons, motorcycling (passenger :), kayaking, traveling, reading, cats, coffee, and dark chocolate. I so enjoy knowing more and more of the Capitol Hill students and their amazing families after finishing my tenth year here. I enjoy attending the eighth grade graduation when I am able...feeling very grateful to have been able to follow the students' achievements up to that moment!
I had a fantastic summer and am ready to begin the school year.
I look forward to meeting everyone in Sept. and having a spectacular year of learning together!
