Kindergarten Social Studies

If I Were Queen of the World by Fred Hiatt

  • The lesson starts by showing everyday symbols in society that students may or may not recognize. For example there are visuals of a stop sign, hospital, fire station, exit, one way, and handicapped parking...The lesson then evolves by asking the students if the sister, "queen" is making good rules to follow. Students will complete making their own jeweled crowns to take home.
