Français with Mademoiselle Leviton
Je m'appelle Mademoiselle Leviton and I teach both French and Spanish here at Washington. I grew up in Richfield and studied French at Northern Illinois University and received my B.A. in 1994. I returned to Minnesota and finished my Spanish licensure at the University of Minnesota in 2001 as I was teaching in various districts. I have been teaching since 1994 including 4 years of substitute teaching in Illinois, Minnesota and a year in Florida.
I have travelled to France, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Brazil. I love to dance Bachata, Samba, Zouk, Salsa, Cumbia, Swing and want to improve my dancing skills. I enjoy spending time wiht my family, especially my niece and twin nephews.
In French, students will have fun learning with stories, songs, games, dances, videos and audios, projects and field trips to Concordia Language Villages or a French Restaurant or Festival of Nations. They will do some food tasting and have a which enables students to participate in an authentic cultural experience of the target language and culture.
Students will use technology to create projects, such as a cartoon using digital cameras and ComicLife.
