Board of Education recognitions are presented each month during the Regular Board of Education meetings. Students and staff are nominated to be recognized by district staff, community partners and others. Examples of criteria for student and staff recognitions include:
Students
- Wins or competes in a state competition (academic and athletics)
- Wins a significant award
- Awarded a prestigious scholarship
Staff
- Wins a significant award
- Finalist for a state or national award
- Other professional achievement
Members of the public, district staff, students and others are invited to submit a nomination for a Board recognition. Please include all the pertinent information, including the staff or student’s full name, school/department, student’s grade level, staff title, and a brief description of the person and the award or honor they have received.
Decisions to accept the nomination are at the discretion of the Board Recognition Committee.
