• Limits provided in your US Bank account

If you need a P-Card please email pcard@spps.org for an application. In that email please provide an explanation for the purpose of the P-Card.

• Your supervisor or principal should email pcard@spps.org with an explanation for the increase and the limit amount.  The request is evaluated based on allowable spend requirements, historical spend and the documented need for the increase.

• All cards come to 360 Colborne and be picked by the card holder or their supervisor

Applications are processed once a week.  It takes 7-10 business days to receive a P-Card.

Follow the P-Card Email Notification Setup directions to activate the email notification system.

• As noted in the P-Card training, no personal information is given to US Bank to set up your card. The last four digits for all accounts are 0000.

• If you have forgotten your password and got a rejection to the security question, or if you were prompted to change the password but did not do so and now can not get in to your account, contact the technical support help desk at 1-877-452-8083.  They will need to unlock your ID.

• If there are no charges for the billing period, there will be no statement available.

  Statements run from the 16th to the 15th of each month. If it is not yet the 16th of the month, wait until that date to access and print your statement.

If you find strange or unexpected charges on your P-Card's monthly statement, check your account for any other charges since that statement that are incorrect as well. Call US Bank at 800-344-5696 to dispute any erroneous charges.  Your card may be cancelled and a new one issued. When you submit your statement, note that you are disputing the charges with the bank.

• You need to go back to Target’s customer service desk with your receipt and Certificate of Exemption/Form ST3 (available from your accountant), and ask them to take the sales tax off and issue another detailed receipt.

• You didn't activate your renewal card. You will need to contact customer service at 800-344-5696 and follow the prompts to activate the account (last 4 digits of SSN are: 0000).

If your card is not expired and has not been revoked for misuse, the problem is probably related to the Merchant Category Code (MCC).

If the card is not yet expired, it is possible that it was declined because the expiration date on the card was different from what was entered at the point of sale. It is also possible that there is a mismatch between the billing address and what was entered for the purchase. Check this information and try again.

A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a four-digit number used by the bankcard industry to classify suppliers into market segments. There are approximately 600 MCCs that denote various types of business (e.g., 5111 Office Supplies, 7299 Dog Grooming Services, 5722 Household Appliance Stores).

The MCC is assigned by the acquiring financial institution when a supplier first begins accepting Visa payment cards. The MCC is assigned based on the supplier’s primary line of business. For example, if a supplier primarily sells computers, it may be assigned MCC 5732 Computer Hardware. If a supplier primarily repairs computers, it may be assigned MCC 7379 Computer Maintenance, Repair, and Services.

• Contact Title I for proper procedures.

We can reset the card to $1 credit limit so nothing can be charged on the card. Have them notify Purchasing & Contracting Services when they return to work, and we will reset the limits.

All of the following steps must be taken to ensure your P-Card information is updated.

Have your new principal email Purchasing acknowledging sponsorship of your P-Card account and the limit they want to put on the account.  We can make the changes once we have that in your file.

Purchasing & Contract Services can correct the name in the system and a new card will be sent. The replacement card should be received in 5-7 days.
