The Saint Paul Public Schools Out for Equity program advocates in partnership for gender equitable practices, programs, and policies through direct programming, professional development, and strategic collaborations. Our goal is to ensure a safe and welcoming school environment that fosters positive self-esteem, respect for others, and academic success for all gender expansive folks, namely our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer questioning, two-spirit, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) students, families, and staff members. Our key partnerships include the Saint Paul Public Schools Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) and the Gender and Sexual Diversity Parent Advisory Council (GSDPAC).
Be on the lookout for our calendar and announcements below for celebrations and opportunities for LGBTQIA+ learning and field trips throughout the year.
Q-Quest is an event for Queer & Trans and Allied youth across Minnesota and our neighboring states. It is an opportunity for LGBTQIA2S+ youth to enjoy workshops, activities, conversation, and art with other youth in community. The growth that we have seen in this event, which now provides programming to over 1,000 youth each year, provides us not only with tremendous pride, but also assures us of the needs of our events and others like it. Celebrate National Coming Out Day
Be proud of who you're and your support for LGBTQ+ equality this National Coming Out Day! This year the Office of School Support and the Office of Equity worked with our Communication team to create a poster for National Coming Out Day.
