Beyond Our Walls: SPPS Equity Summit
Beyond OUR Walls: SPPS Equity Summit is an annual one-day convening dedicated to learning and leading through gender equity, racial equity, and their intersections.
Beyond OUR Walls launched in 2018 to create space for addressing broader community inequities and their connection to challenges within the educational system. The initiative extends learning beyond Saint Paul Public Schools to engage the larger Minnesota community in systems change.
The inaugural summit in 2018 welcomed over 400 participants, with attendance growing to more than 500 in 2019.

Beyond OUR Walls Equity 2026
On May 9, 2026, SPPS Office of Equity hosted Beyond OUR Walls: SPPS Equity Summit in Saint Paul.
The theme, “It’s Already in Us: Dreaming Our Futures,” celebrated the collective power of our communities and the futures we can imagine and build together. Every year, the summit is open to educators, students, parents, leaders, and community members.
